filmed & edited by Landon Moss

I’m a film FOCUSED photographer based iN Los Angeles. I specialize in LIFESTYLE Portraits, Music editorials, & ALBUM COVERS.

With over a decade of photography experience, I initially delved into photojournalism while pursuing a BS in Photography at Ithaca College. Since then, my expertise has expanded across various genres, including portraits, e-commerce, family sessions, engagements, and weddings. During my college career, I gained recognition for two acclaimed series addressing sexual assault, featured in online platforms such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Vice, various print media, and international galleries.

Focusing on music editorials and art direction for album covers, I strive to bring a distinctive vision to all of my projects. I’m proficient in mixed media, excelling in both film and digital photography, creative direction, set design, studio lighting, retouching, videography, and video editing, ensuring every image and video exceeds expectations.

Since relocating to LA in 2019, I have wholeheartedly embraced outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking, igniting a very meaningful, newfound passion for nature. I’m very visually and creatively inspired by the outdoors, which in turn has led me to seamlessly incorporate natural settings into my photography, capturing a clients' essence against/within breathtaking backdrops.

My job is to maintain a balance between knowing when to let things unfold naturally and document candid, nuanced, in between moments, and when to foster an engaging environment and coach you through as needed. Whether in the studio or on location, I aim to infuse boundless energy yet comfort into every session, striving to make my subjects look — and most importantly feel — incredible, ensuring that each moment is preserved within a timeless image.

Why Film?

Most people enjoy the look of film - its aesthetic. For me, it’s the feeling of film. The way that a moment visually and emotionally translates through film speaks louder than any digital photo I’ve ever taken. Film’s dynamic range of colors, texture, and depth are simply incomparable to a digitally produced image. As a photographer who develops and scans their own film, the physical process of bringing an image to life encourages me to slow down and attend to every image with a zealous meticulousness. Although I lead with film as my primary choice of medium, my client galleries include an eclectic mix of medium format film, 35mm film, & digital images.
